WHAT IS PHYSICAL THERAPY?
Physical therapy is treatment provided by licensed physical therapists with the goal of promoting patients’ ability to move, reduce pain, restore function and prevent disability. Treatment is provided when movement and function are threatened by aging, injury, pain, diseases, disorders, conditions or environmental factors.
Physical therapy involves interactions between our licensed and experienced therapists, patients, healthcare professionals and care givers through a process where movement is assessed and goals are agreed upon. The overall objective is to restore and increase flexibility, strength, endurance, coordination, and balance, as functional movement is central to quality of life and well-being.
